Shayla D. Lynch officially kicked off her campaign with a gathering of the 
community at Masterson Station Community Clubhouse.  Chrysanthia Carr-Seals emceed the well attended event, with a rally cry of "Run Shayla, Run!"  Shayla challenged her constituents to "lace up your shoes and let's hit the streets."

...Our first alum is Shayla D. Lynch ( Class of 2017). Shayla has recently become the Executive Director of the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning! Hopkinsville native Shayla Lynch is the new executive director of the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning in Lexington, the nonprofit organization that maintains the Kentucky Writers Hall of Fame.

Shayla was one of three candidates from the 1st and 2nd districts who appeared at the Georgetown & St. Martin's Village Neighborhood Association  Forum to discuss pressing questions and concerns from the community.  Topics included home affordability, small business assistance, sober living homes, and gentrification.

Shayla hosted a table for the community "On The Table" event on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 6:30pm. Locals meet up at The Garage (3092 Leestown Road) for a discussion regarding our city's Comprehensive Plan.  For more details about "On the Table," visit, www.ottlex.org.
